A new set of towels

So I've been trying to figure out for a while why I like this particular brand of tea towels. Xochi.

I love them, buy them when I can and hang them in my kitchen when I'm not using my own creations. I finally realized I like these things about the packs that I buy:

1. They are good, absorbent material;
2. They are colorful and exciting fabrics;
3. They come in packs of 3 with coordinating patterns.

So then I thought, "Hey, I sew stuff. I sew towels! Why not sew towels with coordinating, colorful fabrics in sets of 3 that you can sell in packs?"

I know - it took me long enough. And I've got ideas of how this should work. But my first try with this genius idea is Alexander Henry's Coq de Granville fabric. I'm a huge fan and I have matching cotton towels to go with the reds and blues he used in designing these.

Can't finish them now, have to shower and get ready for an improv show I'm in with my team tonight. But I'm excited to finish them and list them on Etsy tomorrow!

Busy, busy

Well, for those of you who check in with this blog... I have had an extremely busy Summer. I was sick with the flu for such a long time! And have had many obligations. However, I have so many projects lined up and in my head, I can't WAIT to get back to the sewing table which should start happening on a regular basis next week.

So hang in there... I'll be back soon with new items for custom projects and things to put on etsy and sell at craft fairs in the Fall.

Hope you are all enjoying your Summers - at least on the East Coast of the U.S. we are having pretty amazing weather this year.

See you soon!
